You’ve probably heard Rachel Platten’s single “Fight Song” on the radio countless times this summer, but you’re about to view it in a whole new perspective. The singer visited Children’s Hospital Los Angeles to visit 7-year-old fan Jeremiah and give him a truly gorgeous gift.
“Jeremiah loves “Fight Song”—he memorized the lyrics after three or four times of listening to it,” says Jerry Succar, Jeremiah’s father. “He used to sing it when he got a lot of headaches, but now he sings it in the morning, before bed, and during shots he has to get.”
Jeremiah’s parents started the hashtag #RachelMeetJeremiah on Instagram and got the attention of Platten herself on Twitter.
Together, Jeremiah and Rachel sang his anthem since being diagnosed with stage-four atypical rhabdoid teratoid, an aggressive, fast-growing tumor that occurs in the brain and spinal cord, in May.

Jeremiah got an autograph from Platten, but we’re hoping the singer got his signature as well because he’s an amazing kid!
Keep fighting, Jeremiah!
