On Tuesday, Coldplay posted to Instagram a small sample of their new song, “Hymn For The Weekend.” From what we heard, it features Chris Martin’s distinct soulful voice and a dash of Beyoncé’s powerful lungs. While she isn’t featured heavily in this preview, it’s still Beyoncé. Any song can only be made greater with a little bit of Queen Bey.
In addition, it seems Coldplay has taken some inspiration from R&B in this track and it’s perfect. You can listen to the small preview via Instagram below.
“Hymn For The Weekend” will be released on Coldplay’s upcoming seventh studio album entitled A Head Full Of Dreams on December 4, 2015 by Parlophone and Atlantic Records. Sounds like the perfect Christmas gift for the special Coldplay and Beyoncé fan in your life, huh?
