This Man Proposed Via Facebook Messenger While Stuck At The Airport

Ah, what we’d do for love, especially if it’s during the holiday season. But one of the worst parts of the holiday season is all the traveling that has to be done, especially when you’re either stuck in traffic or worse – stranded at the airport after your flight gets canceled.

For Danny Roderique of Phoenix, Arizona, desperate times called for desperate measures. Roderique was stranded at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport for over 50 hours after his flight home, along with over 1,600 other flights at the airport, was cancelled on Sunday and Monday. “I’m just, holiday travel, it’s all I can say, and the weather,” Roderique said to WLS-TV.
He used the spare time during the delay to propose to his girlfriend, Heather, via Facebook Messenger.

And to prove Roderique wasn’t joking, he also sent her a photo of the ring.

Personally, I think the proposal could’ve waited until Roderique came back home…or he could’ve called her at very least. However, I can understand if he really wanted to make the proposal special by doing it over the holiday season.
Hopefully Roderique gets home safely. Congratulations to the happy couple.
