The One Direction star, Louis Tomlinson, expressed his joy on Twitter after becoming a father on Friday. He tweeted that his newborn son is “healthy and pretty amazing,” sharing his happiness with his followers and Directioners everywhere in 140 characters or less. You can view the Tweet below.

It was reported that Tomlinson’s ex-girlfriend, Briana Jungwirth, went into labor late Thursday night. Tomlinson was reported to be at her side the entire time as the two welcomed their son on Friday. They were later seen shopping at a Sunglass Hut in Beverly Hills, California. He was wearing a hospital band on his wrist.
None of Tomlinson’s band mates have directly commented on the baby news. Harry Styles, however, sent a cryptic tweet on Friday, tweeting, “Flowers all round.”

There was never an official statement made about Tomlinson’s impending fatherhood, but he did confirm the news in an awkward moment during Good Morning America back in August.
One Direction is currently on hiatus but are currently nominated for several Brit Awards at the upcoming ceremony in February, according to the BBC.
