Apparently Tinder is just taking up storage space on your phone. Delete that, put your stalker skills to work, and start scrolling through hot guys on Instagram! It worked for these two…for now at least. They got married seconds after meeting up in person for the first time call their love a “fairy tale.” (We must have watched different movies growing up.)
Erica Harris and Arte Vann connected via Instagram about a year ago when Harris stumbled upon her love’s profile and liked what she saw. “What drew me to him is a lot of men, you can tell how they are to women through their comments,” Harris told the Daily Mail . “I saw that Arte was very personal, and he was very attentive, and thought, ‘Wow this guy seems like a nice guy.'”
Harris, a mother of three, liked a few of his photos. He noticed and tagged her in a selfie. Romance in the 21st century, people.
Although she lived in California and he was in New York, the couple exchanged comments, then direct messages, then started chatting on the phone for hours. However, they put things on hold when the feels got too intense. They cut off communication, but rekindled things after Vann got into a car accident. Sparks flew again, and they stayed in touch through original poetry and videos.
Eventually, Vann quit his job in New York and bought a one-way ticket to California. Then they got engaged then married in the airport seconds after touching each other for the first time.
This should end well.
Three days in, things are still in the honeymoon phase.
“I didn’t realize how much I love this man,” Harris said. “Now that we’ve spend three days together, I can’t believe how much I love him.”
I give them six months.
