Adele is reportedly planning to take a five year break from music.
The “Hello” star has just returned from a three-year hiatus from the music world to much critical acclaim. Adele, however, is looking to step away from the limelight after her world tour finishes because she wants to spend time with her three-year-old, Angelo.
A source told The Sun:
“She has told her closest pals she will step away from the limelight for fie years before she next brings out an album. She’s still very new to motherhood and doesn’t want to miss out on Angelo growing up. It will be a hard thing for fans to hear.”
Arguably, this breaking news is likely to induce far more tears in Adele fans than listening to “Hello” on repeat for the next three days.
The 27-year-old singer recently teased her fans about a new music release by the end of the year. She said to her fans at her first show at Belfast’s SSE Arena in Northern Ireland earlier this month, “There may be a new song towards the end of the shows,” referring to the end of her world tour.
Adele helpfully added, “I haven’t written anything yet, though!”
She’s going to have to start writing if she has any intentions to release new music this year. Come on, Adele, do it for the fans.
While the singer left her fans waiting for four years for her recent album, 25, she is determined to do all she can to make Angelo, who she has with partner, Simon Konecki, proud of her.
She said, “In between my albums, I popped out a baby. It is the greatest thing I ever did. Now I have complete purpose. I want him to be proud of me and understand why I do this.”
