It was reported on Monday that Scandal star, Kerry Washington, is expecting her second child with her husband, former San Francisco 49ers player, Nnamdi Asomugha. The pair welcomed their daughter, Isabelle Amarachi, back in 2014.
Sources stated that the couple couldn’t be happier that their 2-year-old daughter will have a baby sibling soon.
Washington, who is notoriously quiet about her personal life, debuted her budding baby bump on the red carpet at the Met Gala. She was wearing a bedazzled black gown by Marc Jacobs and cradled her belly with one hand. Washington completed the look with magenta curls and a smokey eye.
Cosmopolitan.The actress fueled pregnancy rumors this past weekend when she attended the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. She was noticeably hiding her stomach in every photo using a tiny black clutch purse.
Now that the secret’s out, however, I’m fairly certain that Washington will be flaunting her baby bump from now on.
“I feel really, really blessed,” Washington told the Los Angeles Times after she had her daughter, Isabelle. “I just feel really blessed that I’m kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life.”
Given how happy Washington was at the Met Gala, I think we can all agree that her feelings about Isabelle’s new baby sibling will be the same.
