The Adorable Mom Who Went Viral Over A Chewbacca Mask, Just Got A Surprise Visit From Kohl’s

If you haven’t already seen the video of Candace Payne trying on a Chewbacca mask in a Kohl’s parking lot, I strongly suggest you watch it ASAP. The Texas mom bought it for herself as a birthday present, and after posting it to social media, broke the Internet faster than Kim Kardashian ever could.

Since then, it’s been viewed over 136 million times (seriously), so naturally, people wanted to experience this unfettered joy for themselves. The Chewbacca mask shown in the video sold out pretty much everywhere on planet earth – aka all Kohl’s locations and other major retailers. The only place you can find it now is on eBay, where crappy people jacked up the prices as much as 3x higher than the original. Ugh.

However, Candace doesn’t have to worry about fighting people for a couple more masks of her own. In order to pay Candace back for her incredible video, Kohl’s has made sure she has enough masks for the whole family, and then some. Because let’s be honest, it’s the least they could do when she literally helped increase their sales and give them brand awareness.

“We don’t want you to stress about sharing your Chewbacca mask, so we ‘confinscated’ masks for everyone,” (watch the full video below to be in on the joke) a Kohl’s representative said in a video posted to their Twitter account.

In addition, the family also received $2,500 in gift cards and 10,000 bonus points.

Happy Birthday, indeed!
