Taylor Swift Proves Once Again That She Has A Heart Of Gold By Surprising A 96-Year-Old Veteran At His Home

Say what you will about Taylor Swift, but the 27-year-old singer has a heart of gold. Known for crashing fans’ weddings and bridal showers, Swift has always been interested in mirroring the support fans have shown throughout her career by surprising them at home. Her latest show of gratitude came Monday, when she surprised her self-proclaimed oldest fan, a 96-year-old World War II veteran named Cyrus Porter, at his Missouri Home.

Porter made headlines right before Christmas for being the oldest Swiftie, telling Ozarks First that he’s been to numerous Swift concerts and that his love for the singer’s music has brought him closer to his 20+ grandchildren.

“I’ve been to two concerts,” he said. “Memphis and St Louis. Look what she does… she puts on a show no one else puts on. I just enjoyed going to see ’em and her. I would as soon go see her right now as anybody!”

But instead of waiting for her next tour, Porter met Swift when she showed up at his house around 1 p.m. on Monday. Photos and videos taken by his grandchildren showed the heartwarming moment.

Porter even gave Swift a tour of his WWII memorabilia.

Later, she got out her guitar for an acoustic performance for Porter and his family.
