Shameless. After seven seasons, what more can they do with these characters? A lot. Shameless is coming back for their eighth season and we can’t wait! Fans fell in love with this show because of how relatable it can be. You have a poor family that can’t afford any bills but still manages to get through all the good and bad obstacles that life throws at them.
The family has taken on an even stronger dynamic as they head into season eight.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane. Where did we leave off on the season finale? Well, at the beginning we learned that Monica was in the hospital and her condition was not looking good. Monica arrived at the hospital unresponsive and suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, passing away soon after. Everyone in the family went to say their goodbyes, expect for Frank. He ended up at a nearby bar to self-medicate. If you didn’t know already, Frank is an alcoholic.
We closed out season seven with a montage of all the Gallagher siblings and what they were up to as the finale came to an end. Debbie was enjoying her time in welding class, Lip was waiting for Brad so they could enter the AA meeting, Ian was doing his duty as he was on call at a traffic accident, Fiona was holding the keys to her brand new apartment and Carl was still in uniform working on graffiti art for his sister in an alley while standing next to Frank as he drank a beer.
