Did you miss the Villanueva family last Friday? Yes, we all did! But, never fear because Jane The Virgin is back with their midseason finale tonight.
Let’s recap since it seems the last episode was so long ago.
It’s no secret that Jane loves spending her free time in her local bookstore, getting lost in her favorite romance novels by her favorite authors. And now that she is a published author, she can finally relate to them. There’s only one place in the world that she would ever consider having her launch party, her neighborhood bookstore. Will Jane’s dream launch party come true? Well, it did not seem like it at first because the bookstore was going to be going out of business. Wait, what?
We also so Rafael unemployed, not knowing what to do with himself. Enjoy life, Raf. Or fix up your resume and go job hunting, which of course is what Jane suggests. Do you know what that is? I hope so! At the Marbella, Petra’s sister, and her mother are doubling the rate at the hotel. What a nightmare. Something tells me they don’t even know how to run a hotel. Oh wait, they don’t!
In this episode, we also see Jane thinking about dropping the L-O-V-E bomb on Adam, but every time she wants to, she doesn’t. And maybe her mind is trying to tell her something. Because when Jane was finally ready to tell Adam that she loved him, she stopped herself. He had a weird look on his face. He got a job offer. A bigger one than the one before and he didn’t want to go to her launch party because he didn’t want to be in any of her pictures. How considerate. So, Adam is gone and will be moving to Los Angeles. Good luck with your life, Adam. We all hate you for breaking Jane’s heart!
The episode ends with Petra’s sister, Aneska, hanging from the ceiling and the narrator proceeds to tell us that she did not kill herself. Jane The Virgin has gone to the dark side and I’m loving it.
