Regardless of where you are or where you’re from, there are always reasons to be grateful. Kwanzaa is one such holiday that celebrates unity above all else.
We all know what Christmas is, but what about Kwanzaa? Kwanzaa is a week-long event that’s typically celebrated from December 26 to January 1. The holiday celebrates seven core principles: unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. Each day is dedicated to a principle to live by. Families often decorate their houses with special African cloth and festive colors.
