The Good Place manages to keep subverting its viewers’ expectations by continually changing the setting, circumstances, and plot of the show while tying the lovably flawed main characters together. It’s masterful storytelling, flipping everything on its head just as we begin to grow accustomed to it, and Thursday night’s season 2 finale was no exception, leaving viewers once again breathless with the excitement of a new twist.
Twitter lit up with praise for the season finale, which — though we won’t give it away here — people unanimously seem to agree was motherforking amazing.

I watch a lot of cable comedies with talented people who have basically no story to tell after episode 6…which just underscores what a miracle of plotting and writing The Good Place is. And acting, of course. Shovel awards at this, please.

I’m unable to understand why tonight’s “The Good Place” season finale wasn’t at LEAST two hours long, possibly 10 hours long.
