Avicii, a Swedish DJ and producer, has died. Avicii, his given name is Tim Bergling, was only 28 years old when he passed.
His publicist, Diana Baron confirmed his death. “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii,” Baron said in a statement according to Billboard. “He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.”
The news of his death came out of nowhere and seems that his death was not expected.

Avicii was nominated twice for a Grammy for his song “Sunshine” with David Guetta and his song “Levels.” “Levels” was Avicii’s first smash hit that brought him into mainstream music.
He released his last EP ever Avīci (01) on August 10, 2017. The EP only has six tracks.
No other information has been released about his death or the cause of death.
