Austin Perine may look like a regular 4-year-old boy, but he actually has a superpower. His superpower is feeding the homeless in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. His alter-ego is called President Austin and he is trying to save the homeless. He goes by President Austin because he thinks his actions are what any president should be doing.
TJ Perine, Austin’s father, told CBS News that his determination to help the homeless started by watching a video of a panda. The baby panda was abandoned but its mom, so it was homeless.
“He says, ‘What’s homeless?’ I said, ‘It’s when you don’t have a home and sometimes you don’t have mom or dad around,'” TJ told CBS. He then asked if people can be homeless. Then his father explained to him that people are homeless and even hungry.
From there on he told his parents that he wanted all of his allowance to go to helping the homeless. He spends all of his money on chicken sandwiches and toys. When it’s time, he puts on his cape and hand delivers homeless people sandwiches and doles out advice. “Don’t forget to show love,” is one piece of advice he tells the people he meets.

On top of his own allowance going toward the helping the homeless, there is a Go Fund Me so you can donate to help Austin’s charitable efforts. The fundraising page was set up by TJ and the money is going toward a non-profit called Show Love that the Perine’s are trying to set up to help benefit the homeless.
“Austin’s show love project is a nonprofit movement that will involve traveling and fighting hunger and establishing a facility that will help with food, toiletries, drug rehabilitation and shelter integration,” is how the non-profit is described on the Go Fund Me page.

The fourth update on the page explains that Show Love will be using the money to establish a shelter that “will feed, provide drug rehab, provide toiletries and provide shelter” to the homeless.
Base on Twitter it looks like Burger King has reached out to the Perine’s to help #ShowLove and so has the king of basketball, LeBron James. During the NBA playoffs, James goes MIA on social media. But this season he is featuring different African-American’s on his Instagram story to raise awareness of their projects, charitable work and businesses. TJ tweeted that Austin will be featured eventually on James’ Instagram.
