If you’re like most of us, the mere mention of Chipotle causes your taste buds to begin salivating at the thought of their mouth-watering food.
As if Chipolte’s yummy cuisine doesn’t attract enough customers as it is, the Mexican restaurant got more than they bargained for when a woman who was en route to the hospital to give birth pulled into their restaurant parking lot and subsequently wound up giving birth.

Now the restaurant is throwing the woman a baby shower and has released pictures from the event that’s got our tastebuds talking yet again.
Woah baby! Check out yesterday’s burrito baby shower for Jaden, born in the parking lot of one of our Denver restaurants just last month. https://t.co/K7SbsekBZN

Last month Adriana Alvarez was on her way to the hospital after realizing that she was going to give birth sooner than she expected. According to Denver station 9News, when Alvarez realized her contractions were coming on a lot quicker than expected, she and her hubby called 911, and a dispatcher told them to pull into the nearest parking lot, which just so happened to be Chipotle. According to 9News, with the help and coaching of Angie Schell, a 9-1-1 dispatcher on the other end of the phone Alvarez gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Jaden.
Just one month later, Alvarez and her family(including her new bundle of joy) returned to the same Chipotle where she gave birth to reunite and thank Schell for her assistance.
When Alvarez and her family entered the restaurant, an even bigger surprise was waiting for them-a baby shower thrown by the restaurant in their honor!
The couple who also met at a Chipotle and have worked at the grill according to 8 News NOW, was invited back by the restaurant with open arms.

Chipotle PR and communications manager Quinn Kelsey said the company is “always looking to make our customers happy by going above and beyond. We hope they enjoyed their Chipotle-themed baby shower as much as we enjoyed throwing it for them.” Kelsey said she got the idea of throwing the couple a shower and reuniting Schnell with the family after she had heard about the birth.
“When we heard that baby Jaden was born in our parking lot, and the amazing teamwork between the family and the dispatcher, we were excited to do something special to celebrate them all,” Kelsey says.
As with most baby showers, the restaurant fully catered the meal along with supplying a cake topped with a decorative burrito and baby and cupcakes with burrito toppers. The baby was even wrapped in a tortilla blanket.
