Bristol Palin isn’t a regular mom…she’s a rich mom.
After the daughter of Sarah Palin announced that she’s joining the cast of MTV’s hit show Teen Mom — replacing one Farrah Abraham — and word is circulating about how well she’ll be compensated for the new gig.
Us Weekly is reporting that Bristol, 27, will earn “$250,000 for the first season with an option for a second and third year” and she’ll “also receive an additional $50,000 for each option exercised,” according to a source.
It seems like a pretty nice salary, but apparently the mom of three (she had her first child when she was 17) was looking for more.
“Bristol came in hoping for a very big payday, and really thought she could and would get $500,000. None of the Teen Mom’s, even Farrah, made close to that when they first started or even now,” the insider explained.

Bristol made the big announcement on her Instagram Friday.
“I am excited to join MTV’s ‘Teen Mom OG.’ I look forward to sharing my experiences and hope that I can help others on their journey,” she captioned a shot of cameras behind her and her three little ones.
