Ariana Grande was James Corden’s latest victim on Carpool Karaoke. Grande has crazy inhuman vocals, so unlike most videos in Corden’s viral YouTube series, I watched this one immediately.
Corden who is a talented singer in his own right, he can harmonize, carry a tune and sand in the musical turned movie Into The Woods. But even his vocals next to Grande’s seem like a prepubescent boy’s who was forced to sing in a choir for the first time ever.
Surprisingly Grande’s vocal runs didn’t steal the 13-minute long show. Corden was asking Grande what have been the craziest rumors she’s ever read about herself. He specifically asked her about the time it was rumored that she demanded to be carried everywhere.
“I’ll tell you what happened. There’s a picture of me being carried by my tour manager cause I had just shot a video in pointe shoes. I had posted it because I thought it was cute. My toes were bleeding, and I was like in pain, and I was like ‘aww look cute thank you’ whatever.”
Corden asks a second time to clarify that she doesn’t get carried anywhere. “No! That’s so stupid!” she exclaims.
Promptly after that conversation, Grande declares that her stomach is empty and needs a snack. The two stop at Starbucks, but before Grande can get more than a few feet from the car, Corden insists on giving her a piggyback ride.
Grande, being a good sport, plays along.
She hilarious makes light of being carried using sarcasm. She introduces herself to the Starbucks patrons, “Hi, I’m Ariana Grande, and I must be carried.” Then she tells the whole store, “Did you know I demand to be carried everywhere?” and “If you see me anywhere, it’s because I didn’t walk there myself!”

Grande then thanks Corden for making this experience so normal for her, hops back into the car and begins singing “No Tears Left To Cry.”

After rumors started that she demanded to be carried everywhere she went back in and updated the caption. Grande let her fans know the whole story about how they wrapped at 5 A.M. and her feet were bleeding from being in pointe shoes. She asked her friend Griffin to carry her to the car and doesn’t regret it one bit.
