Aretha Franklin Funeral Live Stream: How To Watch Online

Aretha Franklin passed away on Thursday, August 16. The singer was 76 and died due to pancreatic cancer.

To honor the late Queen of Soul, Detroit is having a week of remembrance of her legacy. On August 27 there was a gospel tribute at the New Bethel Baptist Church, where her career started. A choir sang and gave tribute to Franklin.

On August 28 the public viewing of Franklin began so her fans could pay their respects. Franklin rested in a 24-karat-gold-plated casket at Detroit’s Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

On the first day, Franklin wore red Christian Louboutin heels, and a tea-length muted red lace and chiffon dress. The second and last day of the public viewing Franklin has an outfit change. She wore a light blue dress with matching heels.

After the public viewing, on August 30 Franklin will be moved to the New Bethel Church for another viewing. On that same day, there will be a free tribute concert for the late Grammy winner. The “A People’s Tribute to the Queen” will be held at Chene Park. Tickets sold out in minutes for the concert.

On Friday, August 31 Franklin’s funeral will be held at Detroit’s Greater Grace Temple. The ceremony will start at 10 A.M. and will go to 3 P.M. The funeral isn’t open to the public but will be live streamed.

The funeral program was released and it’s stacked. Faith Hill, Ariana Grande, The Clark Sisters, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder and Jennifer Hudson are just a few of the people who will be performing a musical tribute. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Jasper Williams Jr., Bill Clinton, Tyler Perry, Cicely Tyson, Clive Davis, Smokey Robinson and Isaiah Thomas will all be speaking during the funeral.
