Police Have Identified The Mystery Woman From The Texas Doorbell Security Video

This week security footage of a pantless, shoeless woman ringing doorbells in Midland, Texas. The woman looked distressed and appeared to have a wrist restraint hanging from her right wrist.

The public believed that the woman in the footage was Caitlin Denison. Even her sister, Rachael Denison, believe the woman is her missing sister.

Now CNN is reporting that the mystery woman has been identified. Montgomery County, Texas officials are not releasing the name of the woman because she is a domestic violence victim.

At roughly 3 A.M. on August 24, the woman walked around and rang random doorbells in the Sunrise Ranch neighborhood. KPRC reports that the woman rang the doorbell at five houses. But when the residents went to their door the woman wasn’t there.

One house had a doorbell with a security camera and caught the woman on camera, leading the police to further investigate.

On Wednesday, August 29, deputies responded to a welfare check call in Sunrise Ranch. They were told that the man made suicidal comments. When officials arrived, no one answered the door causing them to make a forced entry into the house.

Inside there was a 49-year-old white male who had died from an apparent single gunshot wound. His girlfriend, a 32-year-old white female, was not home at the time but has been confirmed as the woman in the doorbell security footage.

“The female that we have all been looking for has been identified and is safe. She is currently outside Montgomery County and our investigators will be meeting with her to continue the investigation,” their statement stated.

Due to the woman being 32-years-old and Caitlin being 19-years-old when she disappeared in January 2018, the mystery woman is not her.
