Sometimes people just can’t get over their ex. Thoughts of revenge can seep in but usually, the split ends and that’s it. However, things took a turn for the worst when a Langston University student got arrested for her plot to kill her ex-boyfriend.

In July 2018, 20-year-old Avalone Fishback asked a man she met on a dating site if he would kill her ex-boyfriend who lived in Missouri. She later confessed she had previously spoken to three more individuals about carrying out the same plan. Money offerings were also involved. Fishback says the fourth person she talked with, back in September, agreed to kill her ex for $600.
Langston University student in Langston, Oklahoma has been charged with allegedly trying to hire at least four different people to kill her ex-boyfriend.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Fishback admitted to investigators she wanted her ex-boyfriend “dead because he had betrayed her, lied to her mother and broke off the relationship he had with her.” This supposed romantic relationship went downhill quickly.
Avalone Fishback, 20, was arrested at her campus dorm room by university police after a joint investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and the FBI. She was charged Tuesday with one count of the first-degree solicitation of murder and is currently in the Logan County jail, being held on a $150,000 bond.
FBI and OSBI agents met with Fishback on Tuesday at her campus apartment. She admitted to soliciting the man to kill her ex, who lives in Missouri, according to the probable cause affidavit.
According to News 9, An OSBI investigator asked her how she would feel had someone actually killed the man.
“Miss Fishback indicated that she would be happy if the murder-for-hire scheme was carried out. She felt that this individual had betrayed her,” Solorzano said.
This is an ongoing investigation that requires more unfolding.
