In addition to the cosmetic like by Kim Kardashian, KWWBeauty, Kim recently released a new line of body foundations that hide all things ranging from bruises to veins. The idea behind the already sold out Skin Perfecting Body Foundation was routed in her insecurities surrounding her psoriasis. Although Kim didn’t invent body makeup, Twitter is booming with backlash regarding the product.

Kim first took to Instagram to advertise the product using her grandmother MJ as a subject. The video showed the smooth product slowly hide the darkness of the veins on MJ’s arms. The line includes body makeup, liquid body shimmer, and a loose shimmer powder. In another post, Kim described her insecurities and how her formula is “creamy and buildable” to allow for the achievement of the desired amount of coverage.

Prior to the product release, Kim shared that she personally believed that there was no reason to be insecure about things such as veins and psoriasis but that it was a personal choice amongst individuals that she wanted to aid to. Since posting videos and images revolved around the product and it’s release on June 26th, Kim has received backlash for the product primarily via Twitter. Comments are ranging from a variety of people interested in the motivation behind the product but also from other celebrites. Posts have included things like “This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. I occasionally have to wear body makeup for work & I hate it. But for me this is just another example of the Kardashian family telling women they aren’t good enough & need to hide & cover their bodies rather than celebrate them.”
What could just be seen as more advertising for Kim Kardashian’s newest product, it certainly has people talking.
