Who said people in the art industry can’t make enough salaries? At least that’s what people think today. Being creative can pay off these days. From musicians to artists, people making a career off their creative talents can rake in good salaries each year.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Employment Statistics program, which offers data on employment and wages across different occupations and industries, was utilized to analyze the average annual salaries for 20 creative jobs. Keep in mind, there are so much other art industry-related jobs out there, but these are just to name a few specifics. This data allows a more in-depth understanding of how much the jobs in the art field impact our society today. It also informs how much each position in each field of study is valued at its importance through the rank and salary wage per year. Three top creative jobs – actors, musicians, and dancers — did not have annual salaries published by the BLS, and so it was estimated by annual earnings using average hourly wages. While some roles, like floral designers, earn under $30,000 a year, art directors, architects, and video editors earn near $100,000. Here’s what 20 creative-type jobs pay.
