Many know her as the one-name, Blondie. As I was growing up, I knew her as the one other woman my dad probably loved besides my ma. But was Paola (my mother's 2nd name after "Mom") ever jealous? Hells to the nah. She idolized her too! Debbie Harry has been turning heads since our parents were our age (before the days of Ke$ha-style auto tune and daily Facebook creepage).
I saw Scarface once. Yes, one time and I was barely paying attention. Typically movies about Cuban drug lords and mafia crime in Miami don't exactly thrill a Midwestern girl like me. It's a little difficult to relate to Tony Montana's lifestyle choices, but Elvria, on the other hand, well that's a whole other story.
Sometimes I will find myself enjoying things that clash in a good way. Things like dipping tortilla chips in hummus, or writing an article about fashion inspiration while listening to the Red Wings hockey game in the background. But if there's one clash that I find myself diggin' this week, it's that between Willa Holland's real-life style and her on-set style.
know, I know - blast from the freakin' past, right? I think we all remember sitting in front of the boob tube as a '90s kid watching Nickelodeon like it was our job (well, it kind of was besides sandboxes and swing sets). I didn't know it then, but those childhood TV shows I was unknowingly obsessed with, like Clarissa Explains It All, would later serve as my style inspiration as a college kid.

Not gonna lie, I could literally write an entire book of how I think everything Sofia Coppola does is the coolest shizz ever. No big deal, she was only the director of some of my favorite movies, like The Virgin Suicides and Marie Antoinette. She's just the daughter of Francis Ford Coppola, the director of The Godfather, besides being related to some of the coolest people in Hollywood.

If you don't know who Zooey Deschanel is, please kindly let me remove the rock that you've been living under to do a little educating. This girl acts in movies. This girl sings in her band, She & Him. This girl sings in her movies she acts in.

Alexa Chung is more than just your average British socialite it-girl sitting front row for every designer during London's Fashion Week. She's actually doing pretty cool things! All over the place! When she isn't busy being a model, the contributing editor of British Vogue, or supporting numerous charities, she's working on her TV career with her most notable MTV show from this past summer (that you probably didn't watch) called, It's On with Alexa Chung.
So, you may not know this, but I'm a teensy obsessed with world history. The fact that I'd rather watch a movie like "300" over a movie like "Legally Blonde" makes it's safe to say that I am a history nerd raised to the 10th power. But while the battles and the coups and the whole mummy thing interests me, what really gets me riled up is what everyone was wearing.
Being an Italian-American myself, I've always been drawn to things that rep' my ethnicity, whether its contributions like calzones, or "contributions" like The Jersey Shore. But if there's one thing Italiano that I could never take my eyes off of, it was a little show called The Sopranos.
he Royal Tenenbaums is one of Wes Anderson's many dysfunctional-family masterpieces he is infamous for. Besides portraying one of the strangest and most awkward families known to humanity, the main characters in The Royal Tenenbaums each have an extremely specific style, much like cartoons, that they hardly ever drift from.
Although today she is synonymous with drugs, alcohol, plastic surgery and being an all around hot mess, let's rewind about 18 years back to the days when Courtney Love was in her prime. In the '90s, Courtney Love was one of the few women who represented the grunge music genre.
I'm going to be completely honest with err-body in the club gettin' tipsy. I've watched Mad Men maybe one time (or less) during Christmas break and wasn't exactly its number one fan. But for some reason I couldn't take my eyes off of Joan Holloway's style and attitude on the show. And that's probably the only reason I lasted as long as I did...
Describing Chloe Sevigny's style in one word would be like attempting to describe color to a blind man: Impossible. She is a wild child with a wild style. It's vintage-meets-designer, quirky, eccentric and European chic with just the perfect hint of grunge. It doesn't sound like it would turn out well, but somehow Chloe works it.
