The "Skyscraper" singer walked the red carpet wearing a tight, body-hugging silver mini-dress with a plunging neckline. She accessorized with some metallic bangles and a pair of Louboutin pumps, and even though 99% of us would never be able to pull off a look like that if we tried, Lovato was subject to a lot of criticism that night. So what was everyone upset over? Her body.
Hey there, newly incoming freshman. Although you might find yourself confused, embarrassed and getting picked on by upperclassmen for your first few weeks, we here at CollegeCandy would like to welcome you to the next four years of your life. You're probably still on your move-in high and just to make you feel even more at-home here at CC, we put together this gallery of some amazing things that happened in the year you were (probably) born: 1993!
When it comes to weddings, most people tend to go the cliche' route: white dress, flowers, catered hotel reception, church...the whole shebang. But I mean- come on- doesn't that get boring after awhile? Why not mix it up? Who says you can't get married while hanging off a cliff, dress up like your favorite cartoon character, or say your vows via iChat? Now that I'm at the age when I'm starting (eek) to be asked to be in weddings, I've been thinking about them a lot more.
You didn't leave all your work until Sunday night did you? What!?! You did. That's okay. No stress. You'll get it all done. We're so sure that you'll get it all done that we're giving you a few more excuses to procrastinate. You know how you tend to turn into something FIERCE when a Nicki Minaj song comes on the radio? Yeah? Well, these people do too... and they caught it on tape.

Once upon a time, music videos were just that: a video to go along with a song, but over the past few years, music videos have gone from simple, low-budget, dance-along clips to 10 minute long mini-movies complete with deep plots, intense battle scenes, and A-list actors. In honor of the upcoming 2011 VMA's, let's check out some recent videos that made us all make the "WTF" face.

Summer's almost over and fall's just around the corner (say it ain't so!), so while you pack up your plastic bins and gear up for the new school year, just remember that there's always one good thing about the fall: the new TV line-up. It's finally that time of year when the channels stop playing re-runs and start actually showing new content.

The controversial marriage of 16-year-old "singer" (and I use that term extremely lightly) Courtney Stodden and 51-year-old washed-up actor Doug Hutchinson is disturbing on a few different levels. Aside from the fact that Doug is 35 years her senior, Courtney seems to be totally happy and content with giving up her youth and jumping right into serious commitment. I mean, I know when I was 16, I could barely commit to doing my homework.
Maybe it's just me feeling old, but I can't help but think kids are growing up faster than ever before. I'm constantly seeing second graders with iPhones, 13-year-olds rocking designer bags and little boys who use more hair gel than DJ Pauly D. I mean, maybe it's just because the 90s were a VERY different time, but I can't help but feel like kids today are growing up a little too quickly.
I'm always hearing women praise the quality, longevity and overall appeal of high-priced cosmetics, but after splurging once or twice on a whim, I can honestly say I prefer to stick with the drugstore basics.
Sure, we all love an E! True Hollywood Story marathon, some late-night Chelsea Handler or some laughs with the incredibly sexy Joel McHale, but after six seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and three different spin-off shows, it's become almost impossible to turn on that channel without seeing one of the infamous Armenian princesses.
Sure, no one will ever replace Ms. Winfrey, but I sure hope she's not the last woman to inspire and help the world to the extent that Oprah did. Even if they don't land their own talk show, there's a handful of well-known women who I know I'd have no problem sitting across from and telling my life story to.

It seems as though America's decided that our cuisine consists of anything sugary, buttery or covered in batter and then thrown into a deep fryer. Whether it be pickles, candy bars or guacamole, our fatty specialties are constantly getting bad reviews from angry nutritionists.
