Saturday Flashback: Mary Kate and Ashley Geography

In elementary school, all the subjects are taught as brief overviews rather than extensive lessons. For example, we learn “Language Arts” instead of Humanities or Language and Composition, “Math” isn’t “Algebra” or “Geometry,” and “Science” is growing little plants in plastic cups rather than beating yourself over the head with a massive AP Chem book. But as kids, we had two courses in Social Studies: “Social Studies” taught by teachers, and “Geography” taught by Mary Kate and Ashley.

Saturday Flashback: Boyband Delusions

Women have been obsessing over boy bands since the beginning of time. Our moms were in love with The Beatles and we spent our childhoods infatuated with *NSYNC. Saturday Flashback: Life Lessons from the Spice Girls

'90s parents all over the globe were distraught about their little girls being influenced by the Spice Girls. But almost fourteen years later, I still value the life lessons that I learned from their British Invasion. Their die-hard chanting of “girl power” ironically accompanied by their iconic minidresses is an attitude that I still channel to this day.

Saturday Flashbacks: Disney Movie Hotties

Everyone who wasn't a home schooled jungle freak during their childhood and had a TV with a VHS player probably saw every Disney movie 500+ times as a kid and knew all the songs by heart-- the hardcore kids even had the singalong cassette tapes for their karaoke machine. Disney movies were a major staple of all our childhoods, which is why even as young adults we can't help but get nostalgic when we think about them.
