The 80’s and 90’s were times of great music, great fun, and most of all: great fashion. Television shows from...
This movie had incredible fashion and a bizarre story but no one has ever heard of it.
"Love is an illusion." "It's the only illusion that counts."
80s movies taught us how to love, how to lose, how to win, and how to set your best friend that you're secretly in love with up with the wrong girl but still somehow manage to get him in the end. But one thing we typically don't credit 80s movies with is teaching us how to parent.
In the '80s and '90s Madonna had a vision, a sense of humor about herself and masterfully executed all of her ideas.
From corsets to the Wonder Bra, it'll never be any surprise to me that when feminists decided to rebel against gender norms they burned their bras.
Lisa Frank's beautiful art has the inflation rate of a Picasso. Can't snag some of her precious mini erasers for 25 cents, those babies are $10 for a pack of six now.
These latest releases from Solange Knowles and Sky Ferreira already have me online shopping for glitter and spandex.
It might be silly to think that we made such a big deal out of prom or losing our virginity or that one party where your crush might actually sweep you off your feet. But that's only because they were big deals.
Salt-N-Pepa got started in the 80s of course, so they've got all that awesomeness going on, too. But I remember them mostly as they were during my childhood in the 90s. I love their videos, and you should, too. Lyrics: yes. Dancing: yes. Outfits: yes. Girl power: yes. You'll see what I mean.
You're having an 80s themed party! Don't know where to begin with decorations or costume choices? From leg warmers to shoulder pads, any 80s party should have certain aspects that will make you and your guests feel like you've traveled back in time to the decade of neon, big hair and Billy Idol.
The '90s had some great music and while I'm proud to have lived through the boy band era, the Britney vs. Xtina showdown and the Spice Girls phenomenon, I'm still super bummed that I missed out on the '80s. I can't even imagine how much more amazing concerts must have been when everyone was wearing leotards, blinding people with their neon and showing off their big hair.

Like a classic '20s black and white film, some '80s movies need to be seen by everyone. Not only did some of them inspire horrendous remakes (cough Love Don't Cost a Thang cough) but most of them star some of our favorite actors today...back when they were a little younger and a little more awkward. Plus, liking '80s movies is totally in right now!
