CC Beauty Live: A Deeper Look

The past few weeks, I've been thinking about how all of you watching these videos don't get to see my flaws because 1) the camera is very deceiving, and 2) I always have makeup on. I am so flattered by your comments, but I feel that you're getting a one-sided look at me.

Body Blog: Good Eating Is Skin Deep

live for the summer. In the spring, I count down the days until my last final and I miss it terribly during the fall. I love the way the sun‘s rays touch my skin, I love reading novels lazily on the beach, my morning outdoor runs, and enjoying picnics and BBQs. I love the skin-exposing, brightly colored fashions I get to wear.

CC Beauty Live: Home Remedies

Beauty products are super expensive; trust me, I know. Even as a self-proclaimed beauty addict, sometimes it kills me to spend money on overpriced creams, treatments and all that other stuff beauty companies tell us we need. Which is why, on a quiet (read: boring) Saturday night in, I scoured the internet for at-home remedies to all our beauty problems.

CC Beauty Live: The Best Invention Ever

I have been waiting to do this review for a very long time, and I can't tell you how excited I am about my new obsession: My Clarisonic! I've been wanting this beauty tool for over a year, and I finally got it for my birthday this month. I have to tell you, I will never wash my face with my hands again.

Feed Your Skin

Believe it or not, what you eat actually influences how you feel on the inside and look on the outside. I’m not just talking about your weight here - I’m talking about your skin. Feeding your body tons of nutritious foods leads to happy skin and in turn, a happier you. So what should you eat?

The Facial Pick-Me-Up

Thanksgiving break seems like a long and luxurious break from the crazy college world, but with all the people you have to see, shopping you have to do and family you have to spend time with, Thanksgiving turns into one exhausting escape. And, considering it has been months (or maybe even years) since you have last seen home people, looking your best is of utmost importance.

CC Beauty Live: A+ For Mario Badescu’s Whitening Mask

In the meantime, this week I'm reviewing one of my favorite products: Mario Badescu's Whitening Mask. It's totes amazing and will leave your skin looking faboosh! Yeah, I just said faboosh. It's the only way to describe the miracle-worker that is Mario Badescu.

Pretty in Green

Although I am a firm believer in leading an environmentally-friendly life, I am first and foremost a college-aged woman. And what does that mean? It means I am absolutely unwilling to look ugly just for the sake of the environment.

I’m Pale, Get Over It: A Fair-Skinned Manifesto

I was born with a skin-tone that falls somewhere between "fresh milk" and "blank paper." I've heard every "where are the Seven Dwarves?" and "Ah! You're blinding me!" joke in existence, replacing my joyful anticipation of summer with an ominous dread. As girls with non-glow-in-the-dark skin flounce down the street in their shorts and minis, my legs have been relegated to hot, dark jeans.

Makeup 101: Summer Scrub Down

When you’re trying to get in and out of the shower as quickly as you can to head on to bigger and better things, (a.k.a the beach), it can be easy to bypass seemingly unimportant tasks. You probably wash your face, your body and your hair, but do you take the time for proper exfoliation?

Makeup 101: Why Breakouts Happen

Sometimes it seems like your skin has a mind of its own, (an evil mind that wants to ruin parties, dances and dates). Remember that episode of Family Guy where Chris’s zit takes over his life and tries to kill him? Yeah I feel like my zits do a similar thing sometimes. And I want it to stop. Now.

Is It Worth It?

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. And in the game of Bad Habits, you will always come out a loser. As I laid in a tanning bed, I thought about how this bad habit was going to affect me in the long run. Even though I love the immediate benefits of this vice (golden, sun-kissed skin!), I can't help but worry about my future as a leather-skinned freak.

Makeup 101: Clear That Skin

In middle school I had horrible skin. Constantly. By the end of high school it had really cleared up, but I feel like my years of pre-teen suffering were sufficient for the rest of my life. Unfortunately, middle school awkwardness does not justify a zit free life...
