Whether you’re starting your first year or returning for your final, one of the best things to do to help unwind from the beginning of the nine month grind is to binge out on college movies.
It might be because I spend too much time in the realm of fiction (reading novels, watching movies, obsessing over tv), but I've been known to spend more than my fair share of time considering the pros and cons of men that don't actually exist. The good. The bad. What they do right. What they do wrong. Why I can't actually meet the men that Carrie Bradshaw dated.
The time has come! After hours upon hours in dark movie theaters, countless boxes of Sour Patch Kids and probably 17 Rachel Zoe red carpet dress meltdowns (literally), The 83rd Annual Academy Awards are finally here! And we couldn't be more excited - for the couture, for the Best Film category, and for the delicious Thai food we just had delivered (Love you, fresh rolls!).
On February 27th you'll pop your popcorn and plop down on the couch to see yet another award show. The Oscars. The Academy Awards. The best of the best in award shows. (Or at least they seem to think so.) But with all the hype surrounding award shows lately I can't help but think a regular night at the Oscars might now hold up that well against some of the drama we've had surrounding our award shows lately.
You may not know by now, but I’m a movie nerd. In fact, I have seen all of the films nominated for Best Picture this year at the Academy Awards. Which brings us to why we’re here: I’m going to help those of you who didn’t want to spend a million dollars at the theater last year, but still want to impress at your Oscar party guests.
The Oscar nominations are in. And the claws are out. Once the Academy Award nominations are public knowledge you expect there to be gossip, some hurt feelings, some angry fans, and some shocked directors. But this year, things have gone a little too far.
Lately, it seems like celebrities are doing things in groups more than usual – one week it was engagements, the next week it was breaking up, and this week, it’s all about babies. Add in some relationship rumors and Britney making yet another comeback, and you’ve got a pretty good week for Hollywood.
It's January, so you know what that means in Hollywood - it's awards season! Kicking off the big ones is the Golden Globes, airing THIS Sunday, Jan. 16, and I for one cannot WAIT!
While we're all busy staying up until ridiculous hours of the night studying for finals and attempting to get some holiday shopping done at the same time, Hollywood has been... breaking up some of it's cutest couples? At least it's reassuring to know that while we're stressing, celebs are always there to keep us entertained.
Ahhh the holidays! Time for cookies, ornaments, drinks, and songs! And lots of love. Tons of new couples are blossoming, but how many will really make it into the New Year? Probably not many. But that's Hollywood! There's new couples, marriages, and a bunch of crazy as usual.
If you’ve seen The Social Network, you peeked into the founding of Facebook (and commended Jesse Eisenberg for accurately acting like such a pretentious tech genius) and left feeling disdain for the Harvard drop-out behind it.
The Social Network isn’t “The Facebook movie,” as I have heard some people call it. The movie poster itself says, “You don’t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies.” This is a film about power struggles, honesty, and the impact of one student’s claim to fame.

One thing's for sure: when super scandalous things happen in Hollywood, they always break at the same time. So this week we've got a lot crazy shizz going on, and while we're not sure all of it is true, it's the breaking news. There's been everything from a Bieber imposter to Tim Gunn ranting about everything and anything. You know, just your normal every day Hollywood stuff.
