If there’s one thing I’ve learned about plane rides, it’s this: Nothing that happens in midair ever stays a secret for long. Apparently a couple who had an incredibly awkward fight/break up while sailing the skies didn’t get this memo, though – they totally aired their dirty laundry for all to hear….and a fellow passenger took it upon herself to live tweet the whole exchange. Spoiler alert: It’s super funny. Also awkward. Also, probably a little bit reminiscent of your most shameful moments (let’s be honest, we’ve all been there).
Kelly Keegs is the lady behind the tweets and we kind of love her for it. Now, obviously, break ups are always hard and it’s sort of cruel to mock this poor girl while she’s obviously going through a hard time. On the other hand, haven’t we learned by now that we should never discuss anything we want to remain private while flying with a bunch of bored, curious strangers? To be fair, this couple’s lack of judgement sort of makes them worthy of the whole thing.
As I see it, all Kelly did was recognize that we all love that voyeuristic tingle we get when we can’t help but eavesdrop on some stranger’s conversation. And anyway, this particular exchange was too hilarious to not publicize.
You can check out the entire thing on Kelly’s Twitter (which has blown up since – apparently she gained a big chunk of her 15 thousand plus followers immediately after posting the whole exchange). But let’s be real – there are highlights. For one thing, when the guy tells the girl that he doesn’t even want to sit near her, she retaliates with the following:
Girl: “Great. JUST GREAT. I’m so glad I paid 40 extra dollars to be on this fucking flight with you”

Also, there’s this.
What the fuck? Now they’re making out. I’m not kidding

And this.

We took off, they immediately ordered SIX vodkas and Bloody Mary mix for the 50 minute flight and chugged them in silence between makeouts

So girls, promise Team CC one thing – the next time you want to act a fool on an airplane, just hold it in, k?
