Shed the Sweaters: Total Body Toning Routine [CC’s ShapeU]

Who wouldn’t want to take it all off and love every second of it? While Spring Break is just around the corner, and the weather is slowly but surely taking a turn for the better, shedding those sweaters and winter clothes to reveal a toned mid-section, lean arms, and perfect legs is exactly what we’re hoping for! And this trouble-zone targeting workout is the one to get you there!

This total body toning routine from Fitness Magazine works your core, along with your upper– and lower-body for an all-around workout session that will target your trouble zones and prep you for any plans you have for the warmer weather and the upcoming weeks!

Check out the routine here!

The post suggests completing the plan twice a week, incorporating rest days in between workout sessions to give your muscles time to rest. What’s great about this workout is the variation in the moves, which allows you to work a number of different muscles for a kick-butt routine! You can do all the moves for a total body workout, or just a few select exercises to target the specific area you want to work on! It also incorporates easy-to-access tools, like your old-fashioned desk chair, making it the perfect routine for any dorm room or apartment space!

Don’t have weights? Use filled water bottles? No resistance band? Try a bath towel! You can also check out this link for video clips of each move! This will give you a better idea of each exercise, and help you perfect your form and execution to maximize your workout!  Another cool thing about the routine is that each move gives a hint to what it’s working, like “shape cleavage” and “nip hips,” so you’ll know where the focus is, and where you should feel the exercise working most!

Ditch the cableknit and cardigan for a bikini and a frozen marg. and rock a toned figure worthy of flaunting at any beach, pool, or campus quad.
