Tinder Date At McDonald's Ended In Stabbing

Tinder makes it seem totally normal to meet absolute strangers for drinks and potentially more (but hopefully not a murder). Unfortunately, some Tinder dates are actively awful– and not just because the dude looks totally different in person. In Atlanta, a Tinder date took a turn when police were called to help a man who had been stabbed after his Mickey D’s Tinder romance went rogue. These two men started talking on Tinder and decided to meet up at McDonald’s… and who said romance was dead?
The date seemed to be going well, so both gentlemen returned to a friend’s house to continue “getting to know each other.” Of course they decided to get busy at an apartment that didn’t belong to either of them, because that makes it even easier to make it into the perfect Law and Order: Special Victims Unit episode. The guys in question started hooking up, until one half of this date from hell began stabbing his victim. That’s a little too kinky for my tastes. It takes 50 Shades to a level I’m just not comfortable with.

The police report says that the victim was locked inside the bathroom, while his date stole his money and his Honda Accord. It’s unclear if the victim or the stabber paid for the burgers and fries, but it sounds like neither was exactly a big spender. I can only hope that at the very least they didn’t go through the drive-thru. This is a welcome reminder that as much as Tinder is a fun way to pass the time, it’s usually best to suss someone out before you meet in person. Whether it’s a casual Facebook stalk or you go deep and accidentally like an Instagram from 34 weeks ago, make sure you know who the person is before you meet them at the nearest fast food restaurant. Feeling like a creep is far better than being stabbed after a night of McDonald’s.
