If you’re a Parks & Rec super fan, then you’ve probably watched the episode where Ben proposes approximately 203840328 times, and teared up each and every one of those. It’s fine. Luckily, someone else shares your feelings, and it’s not just Leslie Knope.
Photographers Trish and Patrick Hadley stage a photo shoot every year in Michigan to show off local vendors just in time for wedding season. Unlike the awkward engagement pictures your Facebook friends keep posting, these are precious perfection. When Trish started to look for (p)inspiration this year, she was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of mason jars she found. While weddings on Pinterest look absolutely gorgeous, the reality is that an abundance of mason jars make it look like you can’t craft your way out of a Michael’s, not like you’ve been wedding planning since you were a little girl. Instead of creating a DIY wedding that was of the moment, Trish and Patrick decided to re-create Leslie and Ben’s romance using models.
While Leslie’s wedding was perfect for her, I always felt like we deserved an epic celebration. After all, the newspaper dress was cute for something that was Project Runway inspired, but I wanted her to have the waffles, and man, of her dreams. Fortunately, Trish and Patrick brought you the Parks and Recreation wedding you didn’t even know you needed.
