Netflix Shows To Hibernate With This Winter

Now that winter is here in all its glory, you’re probably not looking forward to putting on your best spandy dress and going out on the town. Luckily, there’s no need to be social, because Netflix exists. Seriously, before the streaming giant was in our lives, you actually had to leave your dorm room — but now, you can experience drama, intrigue, and romance, all from the comfort of your own bed.
Here are four not-so-hidden gems to binge watch immediately.

1. Gossip Girl

If Blair Waldorf isn’t your spirit animal, I don’t want to know you. Even if you’ve watched Gossip Girl before, like a fine wine it gets better with age. You’ll never truly appreciate a good, “I’m Chuck Bass,” until you’ve seen every episode approximately 250 times, in concordance with the Vulture recaps of what they refer to as “The Greatest Show of our Time” (+5 for all of their Serena cleavage rhombus updates).

2. Parks & Recreation

Leslie Knope is endlessly entertaining. While the first season leaves a lot to be desired, feel free to skip it and jump right in. Now that Valentine’s Day is around the corner, it’s the perfect way to prepare a Galentine’s Day party of your own.

3. Reign

Once you’re done with Gossip Girl, it’s time to move on to bigger and better things — and by that, I mean the ball gowns. Anthropologie influenced outfits, lots of court drama (and not the Law and Order kind), and Game of Thrones style plot twists… are you sold?

4. The League

You might think this show is for not-boyfriends and d-bags, but it’s the funniest show on Netflix right now. Even if you’re not a sports fan, you’ll relate to these ridiculous dudes, and understand the inner workings of your boyf’s minds — especially when it comes to why he’s always playing fantasy football.
