College life means a whole lot of ramen, pizza, and pasta. While pasta is obviously ridiculously delicious, leftovers are usually a little bit disgusting. They’re dry, stuck together, and you don’t want noodles like that anywhere near your mouth. Luckily, there’s a quick fix to take your pasta from disgusting to delicious.
First, you need a sauce. I’m personally a sucker for a little bit of vodka sauce, because it’s surprisingly easy for something that seems so complicated. Also, vodka.
Then, you need an egg. You should have one handy, even if your refrigerator is an otherwise barren wasteland. Now, fry that sucker up until it’s golden-bottomed and delicious, but still yolk-y enough to make a sauce of its own.
A friend showed me this Pinterest perfect leftovers hack, and it actually makes that pasta you were going to throw out taste amazing. (Seriously, why is it so hard to cook the perfect amount of pasta? There’s always an awkward amount of leftovers.) At least leftover pasta is healthy, so science is on your side when it comes to being lazy.
If you’re feeling extra fancy you can always poach an egg, but then you have to use a new pot, and then you might as well just make brand new fresh and tasty pasta so scratch that plan.
All you do is throw some butter or olive oil into the pan, pop your grimy old pasta in, and then cover it all with red sauce and a little bit of Parmesan (feel free to steal some from the dining hall).
If you want to spice up the sauce, add salt and pepper (just like the girl group), a little dried basil, and whatever spices you have handy that look like they won’t be the worst in pasta. Voila! You’re basically a chef now. Someone should wife you up immediately.
