Kelly Clarkson Shuts Down Fat Shamer

Number one on the list of uncool things to do is make fun of a person’s appearance. When a woman is hating on another woman for her weight, it’s just pathetic. The original American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, has put on a few pounds. She had a baby eight months ago and has been super busy recording a new album. But one woman couldn’t keep her mouth shut.
It’s important to first note that Katie Hopkins is an unimportant crazy person. She’s a British journalist who is always making controversial remarks to get attention. She’s been on the anti-obesity campaign for a while…in 2014, Katie made a show on TLC called My Fat Story where she purposefully gained 42 just to prove she could lose it again. Because she’s crazy.
After seeing Kelly Clarkson on The Graham Norton Show, Katie tweeted, “Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen. #grahamnorton.”
Well, what about her baby? Yeah, Katie wasn’t letting that be an excuse. “Look chubsters, Kelly Clarkson had a baby a year ago,” she said. “That is no longer baby weight. That is carrot cake weight. Get over yourselves.”
Kelly learned about the comments and, being the awesome person she is, didn’t give a crap. “I’m awesome! It doesn’t bother me. It’s a free world. Say what you will. I’ve just never cared what people think. It’s more if I’m happy and I’m confident and feeling good, that’s always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family—I don’t seek out any other acceptance.”
Four for you, Kelly Clarkson! You go, Kelly Clarkson!
Katie isn’t done seeking attention, so she’s still talking smack. She told ET, “Kelly Clarkson is now a chunky monkey, if we’re putting it kindly. She does look like she’s eaten her backup singers. My advice: she needs to get out there with her stroller and do some pushing and get some of that weight off.”
