Roster Announced For US Women's National Soccer Team

Sad there are no Olympics this year? Baseball not your thing? Did you love watching Christiano Rolando while pretending to be a soccer football enthusiast last summer? Don’t worry – there’s still a reason to don face paint and cheer for the good ol’ US of A: the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
US women’s national team coach Jill Ellis revealed the 23 players who got a spot on the roster and will compete in the tournament held in Canada this June and July. The team includes some familiar faces for soccer fans such as all-time international goalscoring leader Abby Wambach and veteran captain Christie Rampone.
“The players selected have the confidence, experience and desire to help us win a world championship,” Coach Ellis said in a statement. “We had an excellent group to pick from and at the end of the last camp, I complemented all the players on how much they pushed each other and competed to make this selection challenging.”
While I enjoy watching hot athletes as much as the next living, breathing girl, there’s nothing better than seeing chicks who can kick some butt. And there’s a good chance that Team USA will be taking the title. They’re ranked second, and lost to Japan in the last World Cup during a penalty shootout. Let’s get that win, ladies!
