If you’re one of the millions who stayed up super late to be the first to purchase swag from the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection only to be met with disappointment, you’re not alone. Target.com crashed approximately three seconds after the Lilly collection went live at 3 am.
So what did shoppers do? Pack up and get on the line sure to be growing around local Target stores? Well, this one went back to sleep. When I woke up around 9:30 this morning, my first move was to see if the site had relaunched. What I did find was an apology from Target on their Facebook and Twitter pages that read “We know you’re frustrated & we’re sorry. We appreciate your patience. You can now shop the#LillyforTarget collection.”
What I did not find was fabulous tropical print clothes. I was just met with “This item is not available” over and over again. The only way I’m getting my hands on this collection is by paying the hiked up prices on EBay…in which case, you might as well head to the Lilly Pulitzer store and buy the real thing.
I’m sorry I failed you, Lilly.
