Inside Amy Schumer has turned out hilarious sketch after hilarious sketch this season. One sketch from Tuesday night’s episode of the Comedy Central hit was three years in the making. Don’t worry – it’s worth the wait.
“I wrote this sketch the first season,” says Schumer. “It just seemed like it would be such a pain in the ass to shoot—the sets, the production, the children. But then this turned into the year we’re just living all our dreams, so I was like, let’s do it.”
The most tragically magical show ever to appear on television, Toddlers & Tiaras, gave us quotes like “Emerald’s ambition is to become an octopus or a photographer,” but the only thing that could make it better? Amy Schumer as a contestant. “Babies & Bustiers” is a two-part sketch that follows Amy Merryweather Sherman, who is competing in the “Little Miss Hot as Balls” pageant in Narnia Springs, Indiana. Oh, but she is suffering from Fetal Red Bull Syndrome and Jennifer Coolidge, aka who I want to be when I grow up, is her overbearing pageant mother.
