“Sugar, spice, and everything nice. These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little girls”…I remember the opening lines to Powerpuff Girls like it’s the multiplication tables, and now the theme song will inevitably be stuck in my head. And now it’s time for a whole new generation to be introduced to Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup because Cartoon Network is launching a reboot of the cartoon in 2016! If this doesn’t prove that television shows from our childhood are inarguably the best, then you can’t sit with us.
One problem – people are totally losing it on social media.
Some thought the actors didn’t look the parts…
Except they’re just the voice actors – this isn’t a live-action reboot.
Others got that it was a cartoon, but still aren’t happy with the choices.
There were already comparisons to the original voice actors.
And some realized that it doesn’t really matter what they look like.
We can’t wait to see what Amanda, Kristen, and Natalie do! The girls are back together again, fighting crime and having nap time, and that’s what we should all be excited about. Watch out, Mojo Jojo.
