We can finally put those ‘N Sync versus Backstreet Boys rumors to rest. The boy banders don’t hate each other. In fact, Nick Carter of BSB will be writing, directing, and starring in a Syfy Channel movie alongside wife Lauren Kitt, with bandmate AJ McLean and ‘N Sync’s Joey Fatone joining him.
Wait…what? First Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig star in a Lifetime movie and now this? It all seems like a big prank, but it’s true.
The movie is called Dead Seven is being promoted as a zombie western, and the trio appeared at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend to promote it.
Carter, 35 is working with The Asylum, the production company behind Sharknado (because who else could pull off something so epically ridiculous). Fatone, 38, and Carter will play heroes, while McLean, 37, will star as the apprentice to the main villain.
“Think about it,” Nick said. “Boy-banders, people from the late ’90s, people who you love, fighting zombies in a post-apocalyptic world. Pretty crazy, right?”
You could say something like that.
