Stephanie Martinez, a three-year-old girl from Las Vegas, Nevada, tragically fell to her death during her family vacation in Anaheim, California to visit relatives and go to Disneyland. Her mother was in the shower and had exited the bathroom to find Stephanie hanging off the balcony rails of their hotel room. Her mother screamed, frightening Stephanie and causing her to let go of the rails. Stephanie was immediately taken to a medical center last Saturday, but tragically passed away a little before 7 p.m. Her death has been ruled as an accident.
Her family set up a GoFundMe in order to aid them with the costs of transporting her body from California back to Nevada for a proper funeral. The family raised $16,635 in a day—double of their initial goal.
