This 110-Year-Old Woman Says 3 Beers & A Scotch Daily Helped Her Live So Long

Only one in 10 million people live past the age of 110, but Agnes Fenton of Englewood, New Jersey reached that milestone this weekend. Forget about that “an apple a day” thing – according to NorthJersey.com, Fenton credits her longstanding health to drinking three Miller High Lifes and a shot of Johnnie Walker Blue label scotch every day for 70 years.
Fenton says it was actually a doctor who recommended she drink on the reg. After removing a benign tumor decades ago, the only serious health problem she ever had, the doctor said, “‘Agnes, you must drink three Miller High Lifes a day.'” So she did. And a shot too, for good measure. Fenton hasn’t actually had alcohol lately because her caretakers don’t want her to drink given that she eats less these days, so we can all blame them when she finally does kick the bucket.
Fenton also sleeps a lot, enjoys chicken wings with green beans and sweet potatoes, and says prayers daily. Her current physician, who was not the one to prescribe her alcohol as a life hack, told NorthJersey.com that Fenton’s “health has been phenomenal.” Pretty much, she’s living the high life.
Another reason she’s lived so long? No kids. Just imagine all the stress you cause your parents on a daily basis – they’re not making it past 100.
Bottoms up, people! Let us all follow in Ms. Fenton’s footsteps and hope to live a similarly long and fulfilling life.
