How technology loves to play little tricks on us. None is more of a prankster than autocorrect, who ruins lives for those of us who are rushing too much to proofread our texts. Marie Seggie asked a pal to bake a cake for her daughter’s 21st birthday, and thought it would be cute to have a figurine on top that resembled the birthday girl, her daughter Laura.
Unfortunately, the 52-year-old didn’t check the text before sending it – not realizing the autocorrect function had changed “blonde” to “blind.”

The family received exactly what they asked for – a wee blind girl, complete with cane, on top of the cake.

Maggie’s other daughter, Emily, took to Twitter to share the mistake that the family found the humorous side of. The post was shared over 7,000 times in under 24 hours.

She told Buzzfeed about the incident.
The text must have autocorrected to ‘blind girl’ and when my mum went to collect it she was wondering why it wasn’t blonde. They then realized what had happened after checking the text and decided to leave it on as was funny. Hope no one is offended.
