Is it safe to say we wouldn’t mind going through the humiliation that Taylor Swift went through at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when Kanye West stole the mic from her in front of millions of people if six years later it would mean Mr. West himself would become part of our squad?
Okay, we probably would mind that, but if that’s what it takes to get him in our squad, then by all means, please humiliate us!
Since that whole fiasco, the unfiltered rapper has publicly apologized to the popstar several times, most recently during a lengthy speech at the same awards show, this year. Within minutes, he started: “…If I had a daughter at that time would I have went on stage and grabbed the mic from someone else’s? You know, this arena tomorrow it’s gonna be a completely different setup. Some concert, something like that. The stage will be gone. After that night, the stage was gone, but the effect that it had on people remained.”
And clearly, the effect it had on West remained because he recently followed up by sending Swift a present, too!
Just yesterday, on Friday, Sept. 4, she posted the above image to her Instagram page with this caption: “Awwww Kanye sent me the coolest flowers!! #KanTay2020 #BFFs.”
But that’s not the only exchange the newfound besties had this week. Right before West’s epic 12-minute acceptance speech/rant, the “Blank Space” singer presented our future president with the Video Vanguard Award, a sign that any “Bad Blood” was behind them for good.
And if Swift’s floral bouquet looks familiar, it’s because it looks like it could have been clipped right from the wall of flowers that West gave his wife, Kim Kardashian-West for her first Mother’s Day in 2014. The wall, pictured below, consists of roses, hydrangeas, and peonies.
If you keep up with Yeezy how you do the Kardashian’s, you’ll note the rapper loves white floral arrangements because he had similar rose walls present at his 2014 wedding to the reality star, which included white roses, peonies and gardenias from Paris and Belgium.
Forgiveness isn’t always a bad thing, huh!?
