If we can meet our future ex-husbands through a dating app, why not get over them using our phones too? That’s the idea behind an app that claims to help you get over your breakup in just 30 days…and no, it’s not called Tinder.
After realizing tons of people were visiting relationship therapist Jane Reardon trying to get over their exes and experiencing heartbreaking breakups of their own, makeup artist and creator of Stila cosmetics Jeanine Lobell teamed up with Reardon to create Rx Breakup.
Instead of bugging your friends about your impulse to text him or spending far too many nights with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s as your company, Rx Breakup keeps you busy. The app provides you with a new task each day designed to help you work through your emotions. It’s like your bestie got a psychology degree and is on call 24/7.
There are also plans to launch an accompanying social network, which will allow you to chat with other users who are going through a breakup. They told Yahoo,
It’s nice to talk to other people who are going through it. You can search people who are either a little ahead of you that you want to ask advice from or people on the same day and interact.
Sounds a lot healthier than sobbing and ordering in a large pizza for one.
