After months of anticipation, we finally settled in for the two hour premiere of Scream Queens. Our verdict? Loved it. It’s campy, it’s fast-paced, and it’s like Heathers time traveled to 2015 and was set in a college sorority house.
If things continue into future episodes, this show could be the Mean Girls of television when it comes to hilariously witty quotes. Kappa sorority queen Chanel Oberlin was the master of burning insults and quick comebacks, but every character had quotes that will be definitely be borrowing for use in our everyday speech. Like Gigi? She was full of gems, like “We have a side boob mixer, followed by a white party, where everyone is encouraged to wear slash be white” and “It’ll be fun, like a Friends episode…but someone’s trying to murder all the Friends.”
