The person who made a shooting threat at the Fresno State campus in California has been identified as 18-year-old football player Christian Malik Pryor. The walk-on wide receiver from Los Angeles posted an anonymous shooting threat on Yik Yak and was arrested.
The post read, “the time is here. @3PM I will release my frustrations. Tired of dirty looks, get rejected, nd being talked abt bc how I dress. My choice of weapon M4 Carbine and I will take a headshot at a hot blonde”
The Fresno Bee reports that “Pryor’s name appeared in booking information posted on the Fresno County Sheriff’s jail website a short time later and sources at the university confirmed his arrest in connection with the case.”
Luckily, nothing came of this threat or a similar online threat made at ASU yesterday, but you can never be too careful. Kudos to Fresno State for handling this and preventing a potential tragedy.
