Blake Shelton Hailed a Hero After Rescuing Group of Strangers Stranded Near Oklahoma river

Apparently when Blake Shelton is not judging performances on The Voice, he’s out and about rescuing people.
The country singer made his way to Oklahoma last week. While he was enjoying his time off in the great outdoors, Shelton came across four men in need of assistance.
Bryar Blanton, his cousin Lenyell and their friends Adrian and Josh were at the Oklahoma River near the city of Ravia where they found themselves in a perilous situation. The four men looking around by the river when they slid off into a mud hole for “about two hours,” recalls Bryar Blanton. Blanton continued, stating that “[he] and [his] buddy Adrian started walking and Blake Shelton stopped and asked if [they] needed some help.”
Shelton did not hesitate and tried to initially rescue the men with his truck. When that failed, he promised to return in “15 minutes with his tractor,” Bryar said. He said that “[Shelton] came back and got us out and chatted for a minute and talked to us about hunting. Blake is an all around good caring guy.”
I would like to draw attention to the fact that the four men were rescued by Shelton with his tractor. A tractor, people. If that’s not a true American experience, then I don’t know what is.
Bryar concluded the tale of his rescue by stating that “If it wasn’t for Blake, I would have been out there for countless hours. And yeah I would say he is a hero.”
Shelton joked around on Twitter after receiving a thanks from the men. You can view the tweet below.

In short, Shelton is redeeming the country scene for all of those still disgusted by Jason Aldean’s horrific Halloween costume.
