If you haven’t watched the latest episode of The Walking Dead, there are potential spoilers ahead!
Fans gasped in joy when they heard the word “Help” come over the radio at the end of the episode “Always Accountable” and immediately assumed it was none other than Glenn Rhee…who is NOT dead!
Except…it’s not Glenn. Norman Reedus himself said so in an interview with EW. He literally said, “I will say that voice is not Glenn…It’s not Glenn. But it’s probably somebody at Alexandria with all we know that’s happening there.” Besides, wouldn’t Glenn calling be a little predictable? God knows TWD doesn’t want to be deemed “predictable.”
Our own Daryl Dixon would never lie to us, so who could the mystery caller be? Listen again to the final scene as Sasha, Abraham, and Daryl ride towards home.
Here are our best guesses.
Maybe Reedus is just messing with us? Please just be messing with us.
2. The dude who just stole his motorcycle
The man and woman who stole Daryl’s crossbow and motorcycle could be having some bike trouble. He does need his crossbow back, but will Daryl be a nice guy again?
3. Someone who found Glenn
The voice actually does not sound like Steven Yeun (Glenn) to me. Maybe someone found our buddy and is using his radio to call for help.
Does anyone else think that voice sounds like Eugene? Norman did say it might be someone from Alexandria. Maybe the trouble inside the walls isn’t over yet.
5. Someone from the other group
Remember those mainly faceless folks who were in the woods chasing those a-holes who were with Daryl? They lost an arm but probably had a radio, and this could serve as an introduction between a new group and the people inside Alexandria. In fact, they could be luring Sasha, Abraham, and Daryl into a trap. Uh oh…
